PC or Mac computer, which is better?

I am getting a new computer, which is better mac or pc, I use it for editing a newsletter, designing logos, designing web sites, and basics like email, web, IMing, and storing info, pictures and documents etc.

Good day. I need to backup my files, as well as transfer them easily from a pc to a mac. Is there any kind of device such as an external hard drive that has a large memory (10 gig+) that I can easily transfer files (images and music) from my pc to my mac? I would go with a standard external hard drive, but apparently that wont work because of the operating systems, and flash drives have too small of memory for my needs. I appreciate any insight someone could give me about this process. Thanks.

My son has a MAC - the rest of us in the family have PC’s. We all used to share a printer until my son got the MAC. Now he has the printer and the rest of use have nothing! Is it possible to link the two systems ?

iPod- how can I take music from my PC and put it on my iPod as well as my Mac which I plan on using?

I have a PC at home and a Mac at work. However, my PC has all of my music for my old iPod, which I want on my new iPod, and my Mac at work has all of my newer music which I want on my new iPod as well…Is it possible to move all of my music into my iTunes on my Mac even if they’re from my PC? HOW? HELP? I’m leaving for a 13 hour flight in 2 days and really want this before I go. One more question, can I download dvd’s to my iPod that I rented from Netflix?

I’m looking to buy a new laptop computer, and am seriously thinking of getting a Mac because I get so sick of all the problems I’ve had on my PC’s. But my friends (PC users) warn me I will **** it because I won’t understand the software- being that I’m so used to Windows. Can you help me make a decision? Anyone go from PC to Mac that can tell me if it’s difficult to get the hang of everything after being used to using a PC for so long? I do know that you can run Windows on Macs now…
